DOH! GA hunters please help!
Just damn.
I found out this week that the lease I picked up through Temple-Inland isn't mine to hunt on. I first got the lease in March for a prorated amount, then I renewed the lease in July. As it turns out T-I doesn't have the hunting rights to this particular tract (it is under a long-term contract) so I will be getting an unwanted, refund from them now that deer season is only 5 weeks away. Do you know of any other companies that lease lands in the west-central to northwest areas of the state? I know Ga Power is out of the question because all of their tracts are leased (as are probably most companies' tracts, but I'm willing to try). I figure my luck might be better with some of the smaller timber companies as opposed to the bigger corporations. The guys who REALLY have the lease I thought I had obtained their tract through some Jones timber company in Dallas (GA not TX), but I can't find their number. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated. Jack |
