Questions for north Texas members
We are finally making our permanent move to The Great State of Texas from New Jersey within the next three months. I am counting the days until we depart this overcrowded area.
We'll be residing in the McKinney area just off 75 and I am hoping some of the TFL members from the area can suggest; 1) a well run local club for rifle/pistol/shotgun target shooting, preferably with outdoor ranges, and, 2) a good local firearms shop/dealer. I don't mind buying from the big guys but prefer to shop locally. Thanks! Last edited by Glenn E. Meyer; January 28, 2011 at 08:57 PM. Reason: Nazi use |

I'm south of you in Plano....
Here is a pretty good list of ranges in DFW:
http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=517 As far as gun shops, McKinney/Allen/Plano have: Academy (Plano & McKinney) Cheaper Than Dirt (McK) Cabelas (opening soon in Allen) GunMaster (Plano) Bullet Trap (Plano) Gun Shows are held nearly every weekend somewhere in DFW. The largest are Market Hall in Dallas and the Original Fort Worth gun show.

Folks, people have to live in some less friendly to gun states. They may have family there or whatever. They may feel pride in the area. They may be working to change things - so lay off the insults to an area, esp. with Third Reich references. The Third Reich is not an appropriate comparsion to any state in the Union.
Be circumspect in your language.
