Winchester Model 52
I have an unusual Winchester Model 52 that I'd like some information about. It's serial number is 14743, and according to one website, it was manufactured in 1928. However, the barrel says "stainless steel" on it, as well as 22 Long Rifle. It has a vaver dial scope on it, and an unusual fore stock with a knob or stand just behind the ring around the barrel and stock. I have two or three pictures I can post (if I'm allowed to do this). Thanks, Mark

Winchester did some work with stainless steel barrels early on, to try to preserve barrels with the deadly combination of chlorate priming and smokeless powder, so that is not too out of line.
Dunno what you mean by a knob behind the barrel band unless it is a prone shooter's handstop. |
