extractor installation problem

I have installed extractors on Mauser style bolts before with no problem However, I am having difficulty re-installing the extractor on my CS 550 bolt: I cannot compress the split extractor ring "ears" enough in order to slide on the extractor. Suggestions/help please.

Thanks,

James

I have used inexpensive end cutters (available from stores that carry horse shoeing supplies), to compress the ends of the extractor collar enough to start the extractor into its groove.

Thanks, Jim. I found out you need this tool

I ended up taking the bolt to my favorite gun shop/gun smith -- he had the tool and re-installed the extractor in 2 minutes -- no charge! I ordered the tool from Midway anyway.
