Consider Having it Hard Chromed

I agree if you're talking about bluing, but having a gun like that hard chromed is entirely different. Yes it adds cost to the gun, but I don't know anyone who doesn't like a beautiful handgun. I had my Beretta 70S .22LR hard chromed by Mahovsky's a few years back and they did an outstanding job on it. Not only does it enhance the beauty of the gun, it increases resale value, isn't susceptible to holster wear, stops the wearing process externally and internally (even barrel wear) and it protects against rust and corrosion -- so morning mist and rain ☔ won't bother you. Essentially, it's like having a stainless gun. If you're a hunter and worried about glare, you can get in matte, though I like the standard finish better. For more info, check out http://www.mahovskysmetalife.com/Met...20Page%202.htm.

This is how my Beretta turned out. I've had several people at the range
ask me if I wanted to sell it. Some initially thought it was stainless.

A Ruger and one I would want to look at carefully. For $200 it might be a good shooter but $200 is a lot for a paperweight.

You typically don't put aftermarket grips on a "collectable".
I have several guns that were considered collectible before I put custom stocks on them and started shooting them.
