Brass

FWIW-I use 'most all brands. I just use them for identification,ie in .300WinMag, Win brass would be for everything from 150gr to 168gr. and Remington would be 172gr to 200gr. Federal would be all top-line like Partition, or Swift or some such.
With revolver, I use (in .41 Mag) Rem is jacketed, Win is cast, midrange or heavy, and Midway is a lightweight, practice load(usually 170gr TC with about 5gr Bullseye or WW231.
With auto pistols, I just keep 'em separate from each other...they ARE different.
Have fun,
Gene

Mostly what I find on the ground, or what I've shot from factory ammo.

I have no real preference, and I'm not a good enough shot to warrant spending coin on Lapua or Norma match brass.

I mostly reload for plinking at the range, so I use whatever I happen to have a decent quantity of for the cartridge, unless I am specifically loading for top accuracy, then I reach for lapua brass.

Depends on the gun. But for my varmint/target race gun I use Federal.
I know that a lot of people don’t like federal, to soft, primer pockets expand ect. But I have the best luck with 6mm Rem with Federal brass. Same goes for my heavy barreled .223 rem 700.
All the others,, whatever I have on hand,,, mix and don’t match.

I use "all of the above" and then some............just depends on what the shooters before me left for me to pick up.

Let's talk about availability, cost, how long it lasts, what kind of accuracy (or lack of), and stuff like that. Is there a brand you avoid?... Why? Is one better than the other?
For many of my rifles, Lapua is hands down the preferred brass on my bench. Availability is fair. Cost is high. It lasts a LONG dang time. It gives me the most accuracy. Flash holes are already chamfered and they're the most uniform. Case weight is the most consistent between each other.

Amerc, PMC, and S&B are on my crap list.

Mainly milsurp for me - LC for .223, HXP for .30-06.

For .270 most of my stash is Federal.
