Concealed to the end???
Strange but might as well ask.. Anyone know someone or perhaps is someone who plans to be buried with their favorite piece when its time to take the long happy nap??
Is it even legal to be buried with a firearm?? |

Not sure if it is legal, but I know there are several cases in which people have been buried with their guns.
I would not be buried with my own guns, I would rather let someone else have them as they will need it much more than me; Where I am going, there will be much bigger guns. |

I don't see the point. Much like being buried with expensive jewelry, I would rather someone get good use out of it than have it rust underground. Just seems like a waste to me.

My wife and i were talking about something like this yesterday. She told me she plans to have a "For Sale" table set up in the viewing room with my guns on it. She'll greet viewers there.
I told her it sounded like a good plan to me. No. I like my guns too much to just bury them.

Why would I want to be burried with a pristine Colt Python or Hi-Power? All those years trying to keep it looking nice, and then I'm going to stick it in the ground with me? And, then what - when it come times to meet my Maker, how am I going to explain the sidearm?

Seen on a T-shirt,,,
Dear Lord, please don't let my wife sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Actually, it's fortunate that most members here don't read the full disclaimer when they sign up for the forum.
When a member of staff passes, you're required to build us an elaborate underground cavern, complete with funky wall art and booby traps for hapless future archaeologists. We also have the option of requiring that a few of you be interned with us, so we might have someone to reload our magazines for us in the afterlife. And yeah, the guns are going with us.

As you can imply from my Sig line, I'm not concerned with my body after I'm gone. I won't be there and there's no need for guns where I'm going.

There was a plot on a TV show once,,,
There was a plot on a recent TV show,,,
Where some people were digging up civil war graves,,, The scenario was that some valuable guns were often found there. But I did read an article once (way back in time),,, Where a man petitioned the court to have his great grandfather exhumed. It seemed that family lore had it,,, That he was buried with an extremely valuable firearm. But hey, grave robbers have been around for a very long time,,, Although I suspect they are more after jewelry than guns. As for me,,, I don't think it will be needed. Aarond .

There have been folks buried in their cars, let alone their guns.
There was one old fellow who was buried sitting behind of the wheel of his old Caddy, with his guns in the trunk. Wonder how long that stayed buried.

I don't particularly care. I've told my wife I'm okay with the $299 cremation at Funeral Depot. I saw their ad on the back of a bus.
She probably will want to bury me, and if her and the kids can afford it, they can. If they want to bury me with a gun, it's okay with me. If so, I hope it's something inexpensive, but not cheap. I can't stand the thought of spending eternity with a kel-tec or a hi-point. |

Good god, I hope not! I don't want any of my guns corroding away in a swill of pusillanimus body fluids. What earthly good is that?
I'd rather a complete unknown was keeping/using my firearms. Even down to the lowliest Hi point or Kel Tek. It makes no sense to bury any gun, automobile, watch, jewlery, or anything else that might be worth something to posterity. You'll be dead. Get over it.

I wouldn't want someone digging me up for my guns. I know of a case where a grave robber dug up a woman for her jewelry (he got 20 years).

It doesn't make sense to bury a $1000 casket either, or spend a couple of grand on a burial plot. The money could be better spent, IMO. But stuff like that seems to make the living feel better about the whole thing for some reason. If it makes them feel better to put a well worn J frame or Safety Hammerless in my pocket, so be it. |

I don't plan on even wearing pants when I'm buried, so why would I want a gun with nothing to conceal it in?

What a waste of a perfectly good gun that could have been passed along to someone who might appreciate it.

Great so when you come back as a zombie youll already be armed....
I can't see taking a quality firearm down 6 feet, I would hope that I would have someone that would enjoy having the firearm passed down to them. But to each their own. |

I won't have a choice, our oldest daughter has already said where my guns are headed...if I like it or not...she wants them all (She's the oldest of 5, I think they will probably be a bit more spred out then just her.)

I could never be so selfish. I have enjoyed a life of passionate gun shooting and ownership, due in large part to guns left by relatives. When I hold my late grandfather's Colt Python, I feel him in it.
Every one of my guns will go to a trusted and loved friend or family member, to protect them and give them happiness. Edit; Just realized how judgmental my post sounds. It is not meant that way.

Personally if a gun becomes apart of you I don't see anything wrong with it. A good gun is hard to part with even when you're gone!!!!
