RCBS 750 & Chargemaster ?

I'm gonna get me a RCBS Chargemaster.

My question is this:

I have a RCBS 750 Digital scale. Will this work with the Chargemaster, so all I need to buy is the Chargemaster? Or do I need to-----or would I be better off getting the Chargemaster combo with a 1500 Scale and selling my 750?

Thanks

I don't know is the 750 would work with the new Chargemaster. If the 750 uses the same data link as the new scale that comes with the 1500 you are OK. A call to RCBS would answer the question for you. I would suspect that 750 is not set up to work with the basic Chargemaster unit. There is a data feedback link between the Chargemaster and the scale so the Chargemaster knows when to stop dumping powder. The scale tells the Chargemaster to stop dumping when the desired powder charge is in its pan.

The chargemaster 1500 is a combo scale and dispenser. It can be used as a scale alone or in combo with the built-in metering unit to dispense trickled powder charges.http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...151&t=11082005
Your 750 scale is just that a scale only. IF it has an infrared port on it's left side near the bottom it CAN be used with the separate dispenser like this one from pact.

It doesn't look like the 750 scale has an infrared port on it as seen on the midway site. So it's just an extra scale to keep as back-up or sell.
