Some what lucky at the range.

So I've been working on loads for all the different bullets I have for my 5.56 AR. I had recently found CFE223 worked well with 55gr Nosler Varmageddon (tipped). So I loaded up 2 more 55gr bullets with the same charge, and they both shoot good. So here is the list...all .223 ammo

Barnes 55gr TTSX --- better .7" moa
Hornady 55gr SP w/cannelure --- good 1.1" moa
Nosler Varmageddon tipped 55gr --- best .5" and better moa

Interesting that your gun shoots the Barnes that well. That's a pretty long bullet. What's the twist rate?

Brian

It's a 16" with a 1:9 twist, Yes I was surprised also. I worked on a load with the Barnes 62gr hollow point TSX and never really liked the results. The 55gr TTSX, performed very well! I was so excited. That was just a shot in the dark with that charge of CFE223.
