Just ordered my first suppressor...
I'm so excited, I just had to tell you guys. Just ordered a SWR-Spectre for my .22's. I won't be able to shoot it here in Washington so I have to wait until I get to my friends property in Oregon or if I head to a relatives land in Idaho to be able to use it. But the important part is I got one coming.

Changing laws
MO and KS both got thier NFA laws changed this year, MO added silencers, KS added all NFA.
Is there any action going on in your state to correct your silly law? |

They tried passing something in 2005. Senator Hargrove proposed to get this changed a few years back, it didn't go through. Here's his contact info:
www.leg.wa.gov/senate/hargrove/ And info relating to the bill with regards to changing restrictions on firearm noise suppressors, which he introduced in 2005: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/Summ...5167&year=2005 which would have amended RCW 9.41.250 to read: (3) Uses any contrivance or device for suppressing the noise of any firearm unless the suppressor is legally registered and possessed in accordance with federal law, is guilty of a gross misdemeanor punishable under chapter 9A.20 RCW. Yeah, it's a stupid law the way things stand. At least you can get one here, though you've gotta at least as far as Oregon or Idaho to legally use it.

Keep us updated on the timeline from now to approval. I'd like to see how long it takes you.
I've got my forms in for an SBR and just hit the 3 week point. Looks like I should be getting it right around Christmas time!
