Lee 358 Sizing die puts out 356 boolits

My Lee sizing die is putting out boolits at 356. Should I try to hone it out or send it back? I already had to hone my 356 but only 0.0005.

Before ya go a honin', check the accuracy of your micrometer. I recently determined my digital (and it's an HF mic, so not high end) was off a couple thousandths consistantly. I was about ready to send a few moulds back. I got out a bunch of jacketed projos and checked against manufacturer claim of OD. Sure enough. I'm finding a new one, but for now, simply closing and zeroing the mic won't do. I have to close and push the claws together a bit tighter, then reset zero. Mine was reading too narrow just like yours.

I had a cheap one that I quit using and got batteries for my old one but I will definitely try another one. Thanks for the response.

I ditched my electronic caliper for an analog. No batteries, no zero'ing, very repeatable measurements.

It was my calipers not the die. Got a new one and they are 0.0015 out of calibration.
