question about 223 brass

Is federal, Winchester etc with crimped primers made to military spec ? Where do these brands fall in line as far as LC brass ?

Milspec american ammo has the "Circle Cross" stamp that signifies NATO standard.

I've shot a lot of WCC headstamped milsurp 5.56 brass, it works fine. Generally I try to stick with LC since it is the bulk of milsurp brass and has good consistency.

Never shot anything other than LC or WCC surplus brass in 5.56.
