cleaning help

Trying to clean new Marlin 17HMR. got one patch stuck and like to never got it out. any suggestions on good cleaning device, bore is so small. thought about getting 17 cal bore snake. Any suggestions. Thanks

Were you using a jag or a loop? I have never had any problems with jags, nearly tore my hair out thing to get the loop to work without getting stuck.
