Pretty broad question, kasel. What specifically are you looking for? I use Berry's plated 230 gr. .45acp, and like them. How about some specificity?

I would use the starting load for jacketed with .45 acp and work up, often I find a good load for plated bullets somewhere in between the jacketed load range.
As for .44 mag. I would start even lower, if you over crimp plated bullets you will find pieces of it in your barrel. For a revolver when using a lighter crimp you should watch for the remaining bullets creeping out of the cases from recoil, and for a lever action with a tubular mag. the COAL can decrease.

I've loaded some plated (can't recall maker) 200gr TCFP's for my .45's they did OK, but I've shot some good cast that did better.

I have tried copper plated in 9X19 and max accurate load is very low speed
I am very disapointed in copper plated, and will not use them again

I use Rainier plated in Glocks, 40 S&W. I use mid level jacketed data. I use Longshot powder and get good, accurate and clean loads for about 16 cents per round.

facts

I have used plated Rainiers by the pallet.
I have used them in 9x19, 9x21, 38 Super, 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 40 S&W, 400 CorBon, 10mm, 44 Magnum, 45 ACP, 45 Colt.
I have loaded them to low velocity; I have loaded them over 1350fps.
When loading 240g plated Rainiers in 44 Magnum cases I keep velocities under 900fps, due to crimp creep.
I use Redding Profile Crimp Dies for plated bullets in revolver cartridges, but with little 'roll'.

Suggest W231 and gentle taper crimp in 45 ACP; suggest bullets offering a crimp groove or cannelure for 44 Magnum, regardless of construction.

Recommend using Speer 'jacketed' bullet data (their bullets are mostly plated, too), or lead-bullet data (because plated bullets are thin plating over swaged lead cores).
