Cleaning question

I'm sure this comes across as a stupid question.

I know how to clean my rifles and all that good stuff, but my question is once the kit is covered in powder residue and all that good stuff, how do you clean your kit? What's the best way to get it clean without damaging the brushes?

If you are talking about bristle brushes, etc, I never clean them but solvent would probably do it fine.

Nylon brushes I wash in soap and water. Bronze brushes get hosed down with Gun Scrubber or brake cleaner.
