1986

Anybody know of any court cases that could get rid of the 1986 law which makes it illegal to buy any new NFA toys?

Or, does anybody know what it will take to get rid of it?

Before his death, J.D. tried in the early `90s. Halbrook represented him. Federal circuit court had stroke and upheld the freeze on non-Second grounds.

Best way now that the scholarship is overwhelmingly in our favor is a direct, invalid on its face attack under Miller weapons test (I'm thinking an M16A2).

It would be easier to get a "pro-gun" Congress and President concurrently elected than to get the Supreme Court to hear a case.

Gary, nope. Just takes a split in the circuits, would take far less money than Congressional/Presidential elections. Steve tried to get the NRA to fund litigation outside the 11th. It fell on deaf ears of duck hunters--go figure!!!
