Good guess on first recipe

well i loaded up some rounds for the 270, and have to say i'm pretty happy - .870" @100yds. i just traded my tikka 270 for my buddys rem 700 270. just picked a load for a starting point and i think i'll stick with it through hunting season. had the gun bore sighted last night and it was pretty much in center of target. always nice when that happens.

130gr hornady sst/58gr rl19/new win. brass/federal large rifle #210/seated 025" off lands

the "winger" to the right was a bad trigger pull. felt it right away

That "winger" counts as part of this group,. But we get the point, why the RL22 powder? Why did you seat the bullet .025 off the lands?
And why in the heck would you trade your Tikka for a Remington?

Remember, testing for data isn't guessing.

updated the powder in my original post. rl19 not rl22. my bad. i used actual load data, so it wasn't just a "guess". i guess the wording makes it sound bad. it was a starting load picked from published data. i was just impressed that the first load i went with shot that good. now the seating

as far as the tikka trade, i am just a remington guy
