I purchased a used cetme wooden stock assembly with backplate, buttpad, recoil spring and everything else. My plan was to junk the wood , fabricate a custom tubular paratrooper stock, and weld it onto the backplate. I totally forgot about the stock recoil buffer. I have not begun to work on my new stock yet. Should I do my best to incorporate the old buffer assembly into my new stock or are there better options?
