I left out one point that should be self evident, I'd rather buy/purchase a product made in Japan than China. I would prefer made in the U.S.A, if that isn't possible or cost prohibitive I will purchase from other Countries that are friendly to the U.S.A.. William

I started out with dial calipers but then switched to a pair digital calipers that I bought at Harbor Freight for $10. I didn't hink they would accurate but I was proven wrong and now they are my primary calipers. Harbor Freight also has digital scales, tumblers, walnut media at lower prices than you'll find at your LGS.
With scales I started out with a Hornady GS-1500 digital scale (around $30.00) but after a few hundreds of rounds I noticed that I had re-calibrate it all the time (everything from cell phone to A/C seemed to effect it) so decided to upgrade to a beam scale (RCBS 10-10 scale around $150).
