Hornady FTX terminal performance
Subject of FTX terminal performance came up on another interesting thread so to avert a hijacking I thought I'd start a new thread on the subject. Hunting season has gotten a good start and the FTX bullets have been out in the field for awhile and I (and others) are wondering how it's doing on game animals. I'm working up a load for it in my Guide Gun but am considering it for my 30-30 and 35 Remington, especially the .35.
I'm OK with trimming cases to make it work in the .45-70, even scrounged up some once-fired LeverEvolution brass to save me from that little chore. IIRC that step isn't necessary with 30-30 or 35 Rem. My friends in Grand Island are pretty excited about this new bullet design, what do ya'll think?
