Trigger pull on an HK91?

First off, please allow me to introduce myself, as I am new here. I'm an avid shooter, builder, and hunter from the Great State of Texas.

Anyhow, I have been a builder of AR15 rifles for a while, and just recently stepped up to the bigger-bore realm of the HK91. I've had it for about a month now, and have made only two mods to it so far...

I mounted a swivel stud purchased from the local Academy onto a piece of flat bar, riveted said flatbar to an extra forearm, and now I have a bipod mount that doesn't require using an actual HK piece or some cheap knock-off.

Last night, using "Super-Sculpee" polymer clay, I molded a pistol grip that is an exact casting of my right hand, which fits perfectly and puts the tip of my finger right where it needs to be.

I went to the range today to test out these two additions, and found my next area of concern. The trigger pull on this thing is just atrocious! Seriously, I stopped shooting after three mags because my finger just felt worn out!

Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to lighten the pull on this thing, or direct me to an aftermarket trigger setup?

It's a military trigger ,what did you expect ? Ask the question on www.hkpro.com they'll give you lots of info.

Mete, the trigger on my AR is also a "military" trigger. Thanks to people on internet gun forums, I was able to find out how to massage it properly and get it down to roughly 5lbs of pull. Using stock parts, it is now clean and crisp.

I was looking to do so for my HK, also. Thank you for the link...

Bill Springfield did the trigger job on my PTR 91. I like it.

Bill Springfield has a great reputation for trigger work.
I had Williams Trigger Specialties do my HK91 trigger
over 20 years ago and it still works fine. They also can
reshape the trigger and do a set trigger. I think their
prices are higher than Bill's.
