bending a stock with a high-gloss finish (Beretta 686E)?
Hi all,
I'm considering purchasing a Beretta 686E O/U. It fits me pretty well, but I know I need to bring it to a stock fitter to have it professionally adjusted, especially cast and drop. This gun has a high-gloss finish. Does that make bending the stock to add cast-off more difficult? What does the process entail, and how much should I expect to pay? Thanks! Chris |

Stock bending
I had it done to two hi-dollar guns and cracked both stocks. Any stock maker will not guarantee that the wood will not crack.
