Ruger Mark 2 rear sight removal
I am looking to mount scope ultra dot on my mark 2. The rear sight does the dove tail just get hammed out or is there something special I should know before starting. Thanks all Butch

If you don't have a sight pusher, just use a nylon punch and drive it out gently...done it many times. Brass punches can mar the finish.

What kind of base or mount are you going to install? Is your reciever drilled and tapped. I ask becaure there are bases or mounts that do no require you to remove your rear sight at all. I have mounted a scope on more than one MKII & MKI and have never removed the rear sight.
