3 Gun Competition with Beginner class Ideas

I have shot for many years but until recently when I retired, I didn't have the time to keep at it. Now I get to the range one or more times a week when the weather allows. I also have a range that I am building (just a plinker so far) very simply with about 80 yds. max. I have been hearing about the three gun competitions and have an interest in getting into it in the slightest and most basic way so that I can have a little more fun at my range.

I know very little about this new sport. I am interested in reading a good beginner book in this area and would like to know a good source of online equipment sales. Again, nothing professional, just serious fun.

Would like to hear secrets and your ideas for getting started.

Besides your post here, I would PM Larry Correia. He's our resident expert.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. My internet time is very limited lately.

Here is a great post from THR from a couple of days ago. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=132389
