18" single action carbine
I was thinking of getting this and putting a regular grip on it and wearing it holstered to the next cowboy shoot. thought it would get a chuckle or two, until i draw and fire it!  anyone have one? thanks tom |

OOOPS! just found out Uberti makes an 18" 1873 Buntline revolver. so I guess i wouldnt surprise too many folks at the shoot.

You'd have to have gorilla arms to draw 18 inches out of a holster.

Yeah, didnt think of that.
maybe a thigh mount with the muzzle in my boot.....Nah, hard to walk. any suggestions? |

It's a whalapalosa and humdinger all rolled into one!
How ever you wear it,I would love to see that draw.Perhaps a sling instead of a holster.I do not think that you wish to stuff it down inside your pants or inside a belt.
What caliber and how accurate is it at 50 and 100 yards?alfred

revolving rifle
Just a note of caution, Maybe you already know this but in case you don't.
One of the main reasons that the revolving rifle never really caught on was due to the rather large flame blast from the cyl. gap being approx. 6 to 8 inches from your face. I wouldn't shoot it without very good eye protection, and maybe a good hat, (Just to keep your hair from going up in smoke "LOL") |
