Ruger Shotguns

This might be a naive question, but does anyone know the difference between Ruger Red Label and Wood side shotguns...besides the obvious. IS one preferred over the other??? Do the specs change between the guns????
My wife has recently granted me permission to buy the O/U I've been wanting all my life. I have been considering A Ruger. I'm an ol' 870 type of person so the O/U's are a new thing to me!
Thanks!!

Nope---no difference----just the wood-side--------and all the extra work it takes to fit and inlet the different stock to the gun.

OH and another big difference----the price.
