Urgent- .223 Ackley Improved

Have seen a steal on an LTR in this caliber. Apparently its considered a bit "odd" down here, hence the reduced price. Urgently can anyone tell me any pitfalls in this caliber? You can fireform all your brass using normal .223 factory ammo? Is full length sizing needed or only neck sizing? any other advice would be fantastic- thanks lads.

The biggest pitfall is the cost of custom dies. Neck sizing would be the way to go after the brass is fireformed. Be careful not to use the milsurp brass as it has reduced capacity compared to commercial offerings.

I don't understand why someone would go through the trouble of improving the .223 when there's the .22-250, .225 Winchester, and .220 Swift unless they had a real short action.
