Small carry pistol.
What would you recommend. For a small stout carry pistol? I sold my G33 and regret it I give my wife my G32 now I got to find something else. For like summertime carry. I am fond of the sig.357 caliber.
Thanks in advance. |

S&W M&Pc. They make a .357 sig and you'll have more capacity and a better grip than the G33. Just my biased opinion though.

Glock 33, S&W M&P 357c, the new SIG P224, and the HK P2000SK are the options that come to mind off the top of my head.

Hard to beat a revolver for dependability in any cc situation.
The Smith and Wesson Model 340PD and its sibling, the Model 360PD, are 1.875 inch barrel, 11.4 ounce, scandium frame snub nose revolvers chambered for both .357 Magnum cartridge and .38 Special +P. I do prefer semi auto myself though. I guess it all about price point an size of the weapon for you? I say buy another g33.. Nothing is smaller in semi-auto .357 and the price is really good.. You can score a new one for less than 500 bones. Last edited by therealrasta; February 20, 2012 at 01:39 PM. |

New SIG Sauer P224 SAS/DAK...
If you are searching for a slick, safe, robust .357sig pistol, I'd look into a SIG P224 DAK/SAS .357sig.
It's a lot like the Glock 33 but hammer fired(DA only). The .40 Beretta PX4 sub compact or the Ruger SR40c could do well. I agree that the .357sig is good for duty/concealed use. It feeds in most semi auto pistols nearly 100% of the time & offers a high KE level compared to the .380acp or 9x19mm calibers. CF |

I carry my Ruger SP 101 in 357 a bit. It's very stout.
My semi-auto carry is a .40 S&W Springfield EMP. Again, very stout. But lately I've been carrying not-so-stout, my LC9. But very lightweight and comfortable.

For a small, stout, semi in .357sig you can't beat the HK P2000SK IMO.

I saw a YouTube video of a guy shooting the P224 and it looked really big. I know they are not touting it as a pocket pistol but for what it is, it's pretty big.
