Revelation 208 30-30? Need info!!!
Hello,
Newbie to the forum and need your guys help. Have any of you heard of a Revelation 208 30-30 Lever Action? Im trying to find what years they were manufactured to see if they are C&R eligible in California. I read some were made by Savage and some Mossberg? Any info on these rifles or a link to some info, would be awesome. Thanks for any info you guys can share |

It's not listed on Numrich's cross reference chart.
If you posted some pictures, someone might be able to figure it out. |

You sure that "8" isn't a "5"????

While Savage undoubtedly made some rifles branded "Revelation", I seriously doubt it woould have been their only .30-30 levergun, the Model 1899 - distinctly different from the Mossberg, which is very reminiscent of the Marlin 336 design, although not the same.
If your rifle has a two-piece stock it's most likely either a Marlin or a Mossberg, and if the trigger travels with the lever, it's a Mossberg. . |

Revelation was/is a Western Auto trademark, the same as Montgomery Ward's Western Field and Sears' J.C. Higgins. Marlin, Savage, Mossberg and, to a lesser extent, Winchester, all made guns sold under the Revelation name.
