American Cartridge Co

I'm looking for information about American Cartridge Company of Kansas City USA.
I would be interested in when they were in business; where they were located in KC.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.
Regards

Here is the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission website: http://www.ngpc.state.ne.us/nebland/...shotshells.asp

They make mention of American Cartridge Company. They may be able to help ...?

Let's try our research forum.

My google-fu tells me the firm was founded in 1922, in KC, MO & they used the letter "A" as their headstamp.

May I suggest you pose this question to the International Ammunition Association. They have a website and have many vastly educated members who will answer your guest question.

I seem to recall reading that they failed during the depression and their assets were purchased by Federal.

Thanks to everyone for the information provided.
I was at a farm auction the other day, purchased a porceline pan that had several boxes of old cartridges in it.
One of the boxes of cartridges is an old box of 22 shorts manufacrured by American Cartridge Company of KC USA. I had never heard of the company before and was curious about any info on them.
Thanks again to everyone for the help with this.
