Gently....

Seriously, the same techniques used for any shotgun will work for a Parker.

I'd use a non metallic cleaning rod and clean from the breech. Wood rods are available.

I'd wipe off the metal with an oily cloth, keeping the oil off the wood.

I'd store it muzzle down or laying flat, not on the butt so oil can flow back into the stock at the wrist.

HTH....

+1 for DaveMcC's comments.

Keep a " light " coat of oil inside and outside the barrel and on all metal parts. Emphasis on "light"... These older guns just take a little more attention....

It should go without saying, if you have an option, select the driest location for storage.

That's probably a good idea for any wood stocked firearm. Given the propensity in the old days of sloshing oil everywhere it may not make any difference on an 80 plus year old shotgun, Parker or otherwise.

Broke open in a horizontal gun rack on the wall also will prevent oil in the wood to a degree...
