Hornady Dies question

I looked at a set of Hornady 44mag new demension dies and noticed the 3 die set had two seating plungers. One flat and one hollowed out to hold the bullet.

I did not see any instructions on what the difference was for or when to use each or either.

Anyone know why the two different seating stems?

Thanks,
Shootsafe

The two stems are to let you choose the one that most closely matches your bullet profile.

The flat one would be used on wadcutters and similar flat-nose bullets, while the concave one would be used for round nose and some SWC styles.

To swap 'em, just pop the retainer off the bottom of the die and swap out the stems, if needed.
