Colt barrel Tap

I have a Colt revolver frame with the internal threads for the barrel that are damaged. I have to recut these to accept the barrel but cannot find a tap. The threaded portion in the frame is tapered. This is a old Police Postive. Threads are 32TPI. Major dia at front of barrel is.563 and tapers down to about .550 at rear of barrel. I want to buy or rent a tap to clean up these threads.

9/16-32, as for tapered http://www.jtsmach.com/jtswebshop/asp/home.asp should be able to get you one.

The pre-1990's Colt barrel threads are .5634"-32, tapered .017".

The later Pythons and the Mark III and later models are different.
