Lee clasic turret press problem?
Hello Everyone, I've been reloading for about a year now on a Lee single stage press. I recently bought the Lee Classic Turret. I'm having trouble using the auto prime system. It's not seating the primers all the way in the case. I compared it to my single stage and it looks like the ram isn't going down far enough to set the primers flush. I don't see it hitting anything to stop it from going down. Any ideas? Thanks Hobby101

DiscoRacing I doubled checked myself and even put a primer in on my single stage to make sure. Everything was fine on the singles stage. When you lower your ram does it go down far enough for the black plastic piece to touch the base of the press? Mine doesn't.

The black plastic piece houses the small square plastic piece that does the indexing. Mine doesnt hit the bottom of the press. I believe it has to sit at a certain spot on the ram. Not sure about your primer issue. I've been using mine since the first of the year. You are using the right size primer seater for the size primers you're using? And it is seated correctly in the ram? If all else fails, call Lee, or send them an email.

Yes I'm using the right size primer setter. When I compared the 2 presses the primer setter sticks up higher in the single stage. I'm sure this is the issue but can't seem to find out why it's happening.

I found the problem and it was my fault completely. There was a washer where their shouldn't have been and keeping the ram from being able to completely lower. Thanks for trying to help.
