duburring question

The lee deburring tool will not deburr the outside of the case neck on my 270wsm. I did deburr the inside but the shoulder gets in the way when trying to deburr the outside.

Is it a must to deburr the outside?

thanks
kyle

I use steel wool sometimes to smooth out any sharpness on the case mouth. Just shove the case mouth into a piece of steel wool and give it a couple of twists.

where the burrs are.

I find most of my burrs on my 308 brass on the outside rim. buy a good de burr tool, and get those little boogers smoothed out.

RCBS does a nice job with the hand help or mounted deburr rig. Yep, do it.

If you don't get the outside burr, it will catch, inside of the bullet seating die.
And crush the the case. At the neck.
It's real easy to do.
Leave the case in the holder. And use a flat file. Sears have a nice set of jeweler's files.
I use the lee deburring tool .223 and .308. Not sure, why it does not work on .270. ???
