KlawMan, My father (.340 Weatherby) is evil!!!!

The guy has not shot a round of trap in 20 years and he shoots a 20 with skeet chokes and game loads!!! This is not acceptable!!! He beat me like a red-headed step child without even having the gun setup properly or having the ideal ammunition!!! The old age and treachery is coming out!!!!

It's unfortunate but those two traits do seem to make a winning combo more often then not!

Really? I would have liked to seen that. Does he drink? If we get him snockered I may have a chance of beating him at something (on my best day). Even if I get thrashed, I am used to that and than I can get wasted.

The Perazzi sure wasn't much of a detriment to his shooting... Evil old fart... I still can hear the snickering.. I sure love shooting with dad...

Yep... And he said, "see trap is easy, why does it give you so much trouble?"
If he keeps shooting it, we're all in serious trouble... Don't even mention Turkey Shoots... He was damn good at those too!!!

I dunno .340. Even with my lack of coordination and bumbling, I shot a 20 my most recent trap line, and that was when I took my prescription glasses off.

I'm reminded of the late All-American and NSSA Hall-of-Fame shooter Grey Silva. He was a true gentleman of Skeet, and the first shooter, over 70, to get a 100-straight with a .410 (the weekend before his 80th b'day). Back in the day, he was pleased when I made-up "old age and treachery" business cards for him.

At 80, Mr. Silva was still kicking a lot of butt on the Skeet field. Younger shooters would come up to him with congratulations for another win. Many would include something like, "I sure hope I can shoot like you when I'm your age." Sometimes, after they'd left, Grey would say under his breath, "He'll be lucky if he ever shoots as well as I do... and lives as long."
