New Single Action.......
Was out sort of loafing around today and stopped in a pawn shop, and what to my wandering eyes should appear......
It's a Hy Hunter (J.P. Sauer & Sohn) Western Six Shooter in .357 Magnum. Price was right, $310.00 out the door. Probably will be a project gun, who knows? Bob Wright |

I think those are a great value. How is the trigger? What might you do with it?

I have one that my machinist buddy converted to 45 Colt ( new cylinder & barrel ) they are solid guns, & do make a good base for something custom... I actually paid less than that for mine converted to 45 Colt, but the finish is not as nice as the gun you pictured...

I'd have been hard pressed to pass at that price...

Is mine the same gun as yours?,,,
I purchased this JP Sauer and Sohns a few years back,,,
It is also a .357 Magnum. Paid $125.00 from a private seller,,, Definitely worth every cent. I named her Savannah. SA Cowboy revolvers are not my favorite,,, But this one shoots well so I take her dancing once or twice a year. In fact the longest shot I've ever made on purpose with a revolver was with this gun. Off a bench with a nice heavy rest I hit a gallon milk jug at 150 yards,,, It took the entire cylinder of cartridges to walk the shot in,,, But it was very satisfying when it exploded. If your pistol shoots as well as mine,,, You got a fine deal on a very nice handgun. Aarond .

You're mighty right about those grips. This gun is too nice to wear plastic grips. Walnut should be forthcoming. Bob Wright |
