Hammer Spring on P95DC

I would like to improve the DA pull on my Ruger P95DC and though that replacing the hammer spring might do the trick. Looks relatively easy to do, in fact I have already completely disassembled the gun twice. Do I replace the hammer spring or could I cut off a couple of coils? Is there anything I need to be aware of after doing this?

It would be nice to improve the SA pull but I am aware that this is best left to a gunsmith.

Go to www.gunsprings.com and see what Wolff has to offer in a lighter hammer spring. If you do decide to start clipping coils I recommend that you go ahead and buy a spare hammer spring in case you go too far. George
