Unfortunately you have to be a member to open the pdf. How about a summary?

On the one hand I am tempted to join their site as a guest. But, although I am a retiree, I was never SOF. In that community you are either in, or you are out. I doubt a few posts in their chat board will qualify me for a ticket in so I will respectfully leave them to their own

I would like to see that .pdf though

Theoretically a drive by BUT - the line says what it is and it's a good link. So that's fine with me.

Piper- Go ahead and join. Read all the stickies and follow directions, you will be welcomed... I have never had any problems on that site. I have seen a few posters that have been banned for foolishness but for the most part, it is a good site with a lot of good info... Fat

PS: If you want to ask a question, search for it first. They will let you know if something has already been posted...

Oh they will be friendly enough as hosts. But They have been there, I have been there, but I am not one of them, so I'll just leave them among there own. I have great respect for them, and they certainly could teach me some things. But unless we are going to talk about computers, networks, or Intelligence Ops from 1980-2000, what can they gain from me

Me too. I worked closely with Army SF for a while, but was never asked to join the club. However, it doesn't surprise me that they're pro-gun. Most of those guys were in my day. And, they played with some cool toys.

As experts in military weapons of all types, it is our considered opinion that reducing magazine capacity from 30 rounds to 10 rounds will only require an additional 6 -8 seconds to change two empty 10 round magazines with full magazines
Sounds slack to me. They must be talking about untrained people.

However, it doesn't surprise me that they're pro-gun.
Nearly all of the real combat arms branches are full of pro 2A military members. By "real" I mean not in a support function position. There are exceptions, especially among senior officers. In SF or any other combat position or specialty where there is less distance between the officers and enlisted the officers and enlisted are nearly all pro 2A.

Generals are different. They are more like powerful politicians than anything.

I am rarely surprised, yet repeatedly humbled by these fine men.

A simple post with the link, or with their permission the entire letter, should have a sticky all it's own free of our remarks as they are inconsequential by comparison.
