240 weatherby twist rates

I plan on building a varmint rifle in 240 weatherby. I will primarily be shooting 55 thru 70 grain bullets. What twist rate would you suggest? I think the 1 in 10 is about right, but rifle building is expensive and would like more input. Also I will be using a 700 remington long action and I was wondering if I could re-chamber a 243 barrel and screw it onto a long action? I once had an issue with a weird double shoulder doing a re-chamber. If so does anyone know the factory twist on a 700? Thanks in advance for all input. Troy. Also looking to buy or rent chamber reamers.

Benchrest shooters commonly use a 14" twist for 68 gr 6mms.
The original .244 Rem had a 12" twist for 90 grain bullets.

A .240 Weatherby reamer will not clean up a .243 Win. chamber.

Standard .243 twist is 10", but Remington uses the same 9" twist as they do for 6mm Rem.

How about a nice .243 AI? I don't do wildcats but a .240 Weatherby is probably worse, you are absolutely dependent on them for the odd small belted brass.
