Stock Repair?
I've looked high & low and I can't find any books or videos specifically on the topic of stock repair. I've seen all sorts of books/videos on finishing, bedding, carving etc but none on repair. I've checked AGI, DBI, Amazon etc.
Can anybody suggest a good source for books or videos on stock repair? Even a title or author's name would be helpful. Any help is appreciated. Mark |

I don't think there's anything devoted to stock repair.
A lot of older general gunsmithing books have information on wood repairs, but that's about it. Most stock repair work is limited to refinishing, removing grease and oil from an oil-soaked stocks, patching missing wood, raising dents, repairing cracks and breaks, etc. Typically, you'll find a lot more info in the gun forums than actual video or published info. Some have special forums just for repairs and wood cleaning for military surplus rifles. Good sites are: http://www.gunboards.com/forums/ http://p102.ezboard.com/bparallaxscu...firearmsforums |
