My gun really loves a 130 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip pushed by H4831sc. I don't have my notes but I believe you need to start the load at around 53 gr and work up to a max of around 60 gr. I think I settled in at around 57.2 gr in my remington ADL.
edited to say: I hope you have a reloading book or three. |

My best results have been with 100g JHP and Varget.
For some reason I haven't been able to get sub MOA with 130g bullets. I've tried Varget, H4350 and H4831 with them and again the best results were with Varget. |

I like a full load of IMR 4831 in front of a Federal primer and behind a Speer 130 Gr. BTSP.
This load shoots flat and accurate and since i cant get my hands on any Accurate Mag Pro powder ill stick with the IMR for a while.

I have a Winchester M70 Classic Stainless in .270 Win.
I have had great luck with 59.0 grs. of H-4831 SC with a Nosler 130 Gr. Ballistic Tip set .007 off the lands. Velocity is 3125 FPS! The other load is 58.0 grs. of H4831 SC with a Nosler 150 Gr. Solid Base set .011 off the lands! Velocity is 3000 FPS! For a factory sporter this rifle extremely accurate and a favorite!!! 130 gr. load 150 gr. load

130 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip seated to 3.420" over 55.0 grains IMR 4350 with Remington 9 1/2 primer in an R-P case. I fired 10 rounds through my chronograph a few weeks ago. 2884 average, 32.91 extreme spread, 11.04 standard deviation from my 22" Remington 700 BDL. Later that day, I fired a 5 shot group at 300 yards that measured 4.190". Good enough for deer! Of course, I'm always looking for something better.

Try 130gr Hornady SST. Can buy them in 100's and are less expensive than Nosler BAl. Tips. Had a 1.0" 3-shot 200 yard group with H414 57 gr and CCI 250 primer in a Win M70 w/BOSS. Once -probably a good day - I had a 0.3" 3-shot group at 100 yards. Most often groups are 0.6-0.9".

Over the years, I have worked up accuracy loads for about a dozen different 270 rifles. Only two of them liked the same combination of powder and bullet.
Four of these weapons were "identical rifles" (same make, model, cartridge, and barrel). They were all different in their load preference. My point is, you may be lucky and use someone else's recipe and get sorta-good accuracy, but you are better off to work up your loads with different powder and bullet combinations, to see which one suits the harmonics of your weapon. An additional point, never trust any load you get over the internet, until you can confirm it's safety with data from a recognized loading manual. Why? because it's as as easy as 1,2, 4. 3 5 to make a typo.
