X5L vs TLR-2
Viridian X5L:
Price: $329.99 (Optics Planet) Batteries: 1 CR123A 3v lithium Run Time (Laser): 6+ hours (10+ pulsing) Run Time (Light+Laser): 1 hour Light Lumens: 154 continuous (187 strobe) Streamlight TLR-2S: Price: $245.99 (Optics Planet) Batteries: 2 CR123A 3v lithium Run Time (Laser): 45+ hours (no pulsing laser) Run Time (Light+Laser): 2.5 hours Light Lumens: 160 (...assuming the same on the strobe) The X5L does only use one battery but it has less than half the run time in every category. Is a green laser's increased visibility worth it? Some say that the green laser is bad because it allows the bad guy to find you by tracing its path back to you. Is that negated by the strobe mode? What are your opinions?
