I doubt a caliber war would solve any problems.
I have shot most types of handguns over the years, and all the good ones have positive attributes. The individual's finger usually determines their ability to safely master any system....although I do know of one instance where a 10mm Glock did fire out of battery. It blew off the extractor and blew the mag out of the gun. We found the extractor and it was put back into service, but the mag was beyond saving. Lots of pressure letting go that fast can sure do some awesome stuff.
