Anybody know the front sight dovetail cut on Dan Wesson 1911's since acquired by CZ

Looking into possibly replacing front sight on Razorback RZ-10 , thanks !

I'd check with the folks at CZ Custom -- as they sell them and do some custom work on them. If they don't know, they'll know who DOES know.

Mine (both from 2009) and have a front sight cut that is

60° x .330" x .078"

PM9 9mm


RZ10 10mm

Thanks , so they are not Novak cut which I read is 65 degree angle with I think the same width you mention ! I'll drop CZ an Email to see what they say for sight options !

Nope... I think their fixed sight models use the Novak standard for the rear cut, but still use the 60 degree front although the width and depth are the same as Novak (this is the same 60 degree front sight cut Springfield uses I think).

Dan Wesson may have changed since mine were built, so I'd ask specificially about the year model of your pistol.

Yes , email answered....all the newer DW 1911's use the Springfield cut dimensions on the front sight ! Fixed rear sight is Novak low mount and adjustable rear sights use Bo-Mar dimensions......sweet , you had it right 9x19 !
