WHERE? Link?

Get one. I had one with the safety a while back. Loved it except for the safety. have been wanting to pick up another now that they have the safety-less models out.

The Shield is and has been my favorite carry gun. Have yet to find a 9mm with 8+1 that conceals as easy. My only complaint is the grip could use more aggressive stippling, I plan on getting some Talon grip tape for it soon.

Talon Grips are awesome. That was my only complaint about the HK 45 C as well. I got the sandpaper ones first and they really feel great but they were pretty aggressive against the skin trying to carry it. I swapped it out for the rubber ones. Doesn't lock in the hand as well, but still better than factory, and much more comfortable against the skin. An acceptable compromise.

I found it. Bud's has it. Unfortunately, that price is only for LE/MIL/etc. Not us general peons.

I bought one from Palmetto for $339 a few weeks ago. Not sure if they have it for that. Seems they had dropped it again for Easter. That was much cheaper than I could find it elsewhere.

I paid $409 + tax. It has been a great carry piece. Very reliable

LOL, should a safety add to the value?

I prefer the no safety version... So a safety on one would be a deal breaker for me.

Funny, when I read this I took it as, $309 even, as in $309 out the door. Maybe you guys are right and he meant $309 in spite of not having the safety. Actually rereading it I think everyone else is right and I just read what I wanted to see.

Need different ideas

I pocket carry different guns but always use DeSantis Nemesis.I've carried a proven lc9s the most. After a Lot of thought,I also bought the lc9s Pro.Both these Rugers have light triggers, and Pro still in box 4 weeks later, I'm confused as to what's up.50 yrs.experience plus also carry a G42.

I also prefer the LC9S Pro or even LC9S to the Shield. But the Shield is a fine choice plus S&W puts two magazine in the box vs. only one from Ruger. That's like an extra $30 savings!

I just bought a new Glock 43 on a whim...They had it in stock so I grabbed it for some reason. I like it but am keeping my Shield and selling in. They are exceptional carry pistols for a great price...

I have a Shield 9mm with no safety and it carries so easy. The thing shoots amazing for a sub-compact single stack and has never had a single issue. It feels like a combat pistol in a very small package. Recently added a Pearce pinky extension on the 7-round mag and I like it even more now!!!

My son has installed night sights on his Shields, mine, and for several friends and coworkers. He bought a dedicated MGW sight pusher after the first attempt because, as he put it, the original rear sights run from very tight to ridiculously tight. The replacement sights all went in easily.

donal123... looks like the new guy is a class clown. All his posts are "Thanks for the info."

I've always been interested in the 9mm shield. Can anyone give me an idea of how it compares in size to the Glock 26?

The Shield is not as long (6.1" vs 6.49"), taller (4.6" vs 4.17"), and narrower (0.95" vs 1.18") than the G26. For me, the ability to get my little finger on the grip of a Shield makes a big difference in my shooting.

Length/height wise not too much difference, where the Shield shines is how thin it is in the slide and especially the grip. The Shield is a bit taller, the 26 is a bit longer, but as you can see in the photo the Shield is a whole lot thinner.
