Mossberg Maverick 88 $170 good buy?
Brand new Mossberg at a local gun shop for $170 should I jump on this? Normally $210 or so. I heard these are lessly made than the 500 models. This isn't going to blow in my face is it? Because I am looking for a new truck gun (esp shotgun) and this fits the bill.

It will be a reliable truck gun. $170 is about the average price I see them at new, $210 is high. They are affordable, reliable and are very close to the 500, no it will not blow up in your face.

It will fill the role of truck gun with a smile on its face. That said, I'd call local gun shops in your area and see if any of them have police trade in shotguns available. You can get an 870 or Winchester 1200 defender or similar way better shotgun for maybe the same price.

Here in California it would be north of $200.00 with tax plus another $25.00 DROS Fee. Gotta love that. You are getting a good deal.

Yes good price and you cant go wrong with that shotgun. I'm glad to see they hold there value as i paid right at $75.00 for mine some years ago and it has never let me down.

Got mine for $177 a bit over a year ago. Hundreds of rounds later I'm still happy as a pig in pig-dirt.
Now why don't they use that in a Geico advert??? |

Wow! $179 + tax great deal, under $190 and so happy. Great little truck gun now. Magazine spring rattles a bit, but I except that for a sub $200 shotgun. Can't complain for this sweet deal. Shooting tomorrow at the range.

Great gun, 107 rounds, 100 bird, 5 buck 00 full loads, and 2, 1oz slug full load 1600fps. LOL was like a cannon, my whole upper chest shuddered, I felt like this energy wave through my body.
Review later. |
