C&R license worth it if only for reloading?

I'm thinking about applying for a C & R FFL license, but i have no intention of buying any guns(newly married/out of college so i can't really afford them even if i wanted them). My quesiton is, are the discounts worth it if i'm only buying reloading goods?

I need to buy pretty much everything(i have my dies and that's it), so i figure it would be a good investment, assuming the deals out there are worth it. My plan is to go with a Lee kit, and then get some bullets/primers and powder. Will that offset the cost(assuming the consumables are lowered enough to buy online as opposed to locally), or should i just wait to buy the stuff when it goes on sale? Thanks for the help guys!

He only needs the FFL-06 if he is going to sell the ammo.

Yes you can. I have had my C&R for five years. Graf's gives around 12% to 15% discount but you have to pay shipping. Brownell's also gives a nice discount. The C&R will cost you $30 and is good for three years. I saved more then what the license cost on my first order from Graf's.

Yep, it'll save you if you buy from vendors that offer a discount for FFL holders. You say you won't buy guns but, I ran across some really good deals for C&R stuff; Mosin Nagant $79.00, Enfield $89.00 and no FFL fees, and I couldn't resist.

Absolutely worth it. Get a dealer account @ Graf's (dillon equip), Midway, etc. You can get a dealer account @ Brownell's if you know how to click a mouse, without a license of any kind.

best pricing

There are vendors who only deal with '06 holders.

The C&R gets you in with many vendors offering "license" pricing.

My bad.

Yes, it's worth it. Just for the already mentioned discounts.

That's how it all started for us. No intention of buying any guns....then the ability to order C&R handguns/rifles straight to our doors. To keep you true to your intentions, give your credit cards to your spouse now. Well worth it for discount, not good for saving money in the long run, you WILL end up buying more C&R guns/rifles.
