C&R license worth it if only for reloading?
I'm thinking about applying for a C & R FFL license, but i have no intention of buying any guns(newly married/out of college so i can't really afford them even if i wanted them). My quesiton is, are the discounts worth it if i'm only buying reloading goods?
I need to buy pretty much everything(i have my dies and that's it), so i figure it would be a good investment, assuming the deals out there are worth it. My plan is to go with a Lee kit, and then get some bullets/primers and powder. Will that offset the cost(assuming the consumables are lowered enough to buy online as opposed to locally), or should i just wait to buy the stuff when it goes on sale? Thanks for the help guys! |

Yep, it'll save you if you buy from vendors that offer a discount for FFL holders. You say you won't buy guns but, I ran across some really good deals for C&R stuff; Mosin Nagant $79.00, Enfield $89.00 and no FFL fees, and I couldn't resist.

Absolutely worth it. Get a dealer account @ Graf's (dillon equip), Midway, etc. You can get a dealer account @ Brownell's if you know how to click a mouse, without a license of any kind.

best pricing
There are vendors who only deal with '06 holders.
The C&R gets you in with many vendors offering "license" pricing. My bad.

Yes, it's worth it. Just for the already mentioned discounts.
