Is this possible?
been checking the prices of new presses...wow! its obvious I've not been keeping tabs for sure...
ANYWAY, I have an old RCBS JR2 press and now I have a need for a press that has the threaded die adapter so I can use the larger 1 & 1/4 - 12 dies... I have access to the threaded die adapter - can I SAFELY have my old JR2 press "rethreaded" to accept this adapter or am I just wasting time and money doing so? the work would be done by a friend who owns a machine shop so I'm sure I'd get a break on the labor...my concern is 1) CAN it be done... 2) Will it weaken the press "too much" your inputs would be greatly appreciated... I think it could be done, but I doubt the Jr will have the leverage to do the work that would call for a 1 1/4" die.

Also consider the implications if the modifications were a few degrees off the axial line of the ram; i.e., the new hole is tilted.

$104.99 AND you would have to wait until June 24th to get one. The lee classic cast single stage is built like a tank. Be sure to get the standard, not the breech lock. And it comes already threaded for the 1-ΒΌ threads after removing the 7/8-14 adapter.
