Gold Rush .22 cal Pepperbox

Anybody know what the frames are made of on the .22 cal. "Gold Rush" Pepperboxes?

I can't swear to it but I'm pretty sure they're brass.

I contacted the seller and he said Zamak. (Actually he said "pot metal" but you get the idea.)

I agree; It works quite well for window cranks, fan motors and faucet handles.

It's good for .22 revolver frames and .22 rifle receivers too. I've never wore one out.

Agree with Hawg.. cast metal parts are a manufacturing standards now days.

Honestly, and I know I'm going to take some flak for this but I'd rather have an RG 66 than a Ruger Single Six.

Rugers are good guns. I had a Single Six but I despise the way their action works OTOH I've had five RG 66's and they always seem to get away from me. I bought my first one new in 76 or 77 for about 50 bucks. My first wife still has it.
